This 3-day and 2-night adventure is an exclusive tour just for you, your friends and family.

The Lost City tour will give You the chance to challenge yourself. However, Ciudad Perdida is not a competition and You will have our guides who will guide you and wait for you if necessary.

Day 1

5 - 6 hours a hike.
El Mamey town - Lorenzo Camp.

  • You will be picked up between 6:00 - and 6:30 am to be driven to the office and complete the payment of The Lost City Trek.

  • Drive from Santa Marta to EL Mamey. 2 hours.

  • Breakfast at the village El Mamey.

  • Ride by motorbike. 20 minutes 4.5 km.

  • We will start the walk from this point.

  • Walk during the 3.5 hours for 4 -5 until Indigenous camp "Mumake"  

  • Time to swim in the Buritaca River.

  • Lunchtime.

Day 2

1 hour hike. Lorenzo Camp - The Lost City.

The big day has arrived. You will reach the great lost city of the indigenous Tayronas, one of the most important archaeological sites of the continent and a stronghold of spiritual energy for all Colombians and visitors.
  • A 40-minute walk along the Buritaca River until you reach the main stairs of the archaeological site.

  • We will find 1200 totally original steps that lead us to the first sector of the great lost city.

     We will be welcomed in this beautiful place with as much positive energy as possible.

  • We will spend a little more than three hours touring this immense place. We will have time to learn about the history of this archaeological site and sacred land for the indigenous people of the area. Time to meditate and walk around the site alone.

  • After more than three hours in this special place, we will descend the same 1200 stairs and take the same path back to the Lorenzo camp for lunch.

After Lunch,  We will walk back to Mumake camp to spend the last night. 
  • The return is a little easier. 1 hour and 20 minutes with small ascents and descents to the first point to rest and enjoy fruit and refreshments before continuing.

  • After a short rest, we have a long hour-long descent to mumake camp.

  • On arrival at the camp, we can enjoy a bath in the Buritaca River or a cold shower and then enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and wait for our dinner.

  • Time to have dinner together and enjoy our last night together.

Day 3

Time to go home.
17 km / 7 hours.
We have a big day to return home.
  • Starting with a 3-hour walk from Mumake Camp to Camp Adan..

  • 1 hour and 30 minutes mostly uphill. Very demanding part of the day.

  • In Camp Adan, we will have some natural juice and snacks to refresh before continuing the last 3 hours to get to El Mamey.

  • 1 Hour uphill. Very demanding part of the day.

  • 2 more hours Mostly downhill to Finish this incredible adventure to The Lost City - Ciudad Perdida.

  • In Mamey a nice Lunch will be waiting for us, also the cars that will take us to Santa Marta.

  • We will be Back in Santa Marta between 4:00 P.m. and 5:00 P.m.

What to Bring?

The Lost City trek is not an easy tour.
Every single day you will hike through a dense humid forest. Even if the sun is not extremely warm, we will be sweating so much because of the humidity.
The secret to success during this adventure is taking a light backpack with us.

Here you have some tips about what you will need to take to The Lost City Trek.
  • Small /medium size backpack.

  • Light clothes to walk.

  • Long sleeves shirt, and long pants for the nights.

  • Comfortable shoes to walk (hiking boots / running shoes.

  • Flip flops, small towel, swimsuit.

  • Toiletries.

  • Insect repellent, sunscreen.

  • A hat.

  • Cash to buy souvenirs from the indigenous and the farmers.

  • Cash for alcohol or cold drinks at the camps.

  • Tips for the guides.

After Lunch

3 - 4 more hours hiking until Lorenzo
  • A 40-minute walk along the river with beautiful views of the Buritaca River and the indigenous reserve.

  • After a short rest, we will find a 1 hour and 20 minutes ascent to the upper part of the indigenous reserve.

  • Fruit and drinks at the top of the mountain to recover energy and rest for a few minutes.

  • The last 2.5 km are in varied mountainous terrain. With small ascents and descents until you reach the Lorenzo camp.

  • Time to stretch our muscles, enjoy the Buritaca River or a cold shower, and then enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and wait for our dinner.

  • Dinnertime 

  • Storytime before leaving to bed.
