Day 1 – Jungle & Indigenous Experience
Pick-up between 7:30–8:00 am and transfer from Santa Marta to El Mamey (3-hour drive).
Enjoy breakfast and lunch in this local village before continuing by motorcycle (25 min) to the Vista Hermosa viewpoint, where the adventure begins.
After a short cultural introduction, start the hike with a gentle downhill walk (1.9 km) to a private natural pool, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Snacks and fresh fruits included.
Continue with a 2-hour uphill hike to the mountain top, where you’ll recharge with more fruit and rest before the final stretch. The last part of the trek is mostly downhill, crossing the Indigenous Reservation of the Sierra Nevada, offering stunning views and deep cultural connection.
Arrival at Mumake Camp around 4:00–4:40 pm.
Time to shower, relax, enjoy coffee or tea, followed by dinner and a bonfire with an indigenous community leader.
Day 2 – Into the Lost City
Early breakfast at 5:30 am and departure at 7:00 am.
Hike along the Buritava River, passing jungle viewpoints over the Buritaca River, followed by a challenging uphill climb, the toughest section of the day.
Short stop at Asprilla Viewpoint to rest and refuel with fruits, then continue hiking to Lorenzo Camp. Time to relax by the river, enjoy a swing, lunch, and a hammock break.
In the afternoon, we head deep into the jungle to reach Ciudad Perdida when the site is empty.
Climb the 1,200 stone steps to the first terrace and explore this massive sacred site in total solitude. Enjoy coffee, sunset views, dinner, and a night inside the Lost City camp—a once-in-a-lifetime experience




Day 3 – Sunrise at the Lost City
Wake up before sunrise and enjoy coffee or hot chocolate at the top of Ciudad Perdida, watching the jungle awaken.
Breakfast at 6:00 am, followed by a final walk through hidden sectors of the archaeological site.
At 10:00 am, hike back to camp and continue to Paraíso Camp for a river swim and lunch.
In the afternoon, trek 3 hours downhill back to Mumake Camp.
End the day with a refreshing swim, dinner, and deep rest in the jungle.




What to Bring?
The Lost City trek is not an easy tour.
Every single day you will hike through a dense humid forest. Even if the sun is not extremely warm, we will be sweating soo much because of the humidity.
The secret to success during this adventure is taking a light backpack with us.
Here you have some tips about what you will need up there.
Small /medium size backpack.
Light clothes to walk.Long sleeves shirt, and long pants for the nights.
Comfortable shoes to walk (hiking boots / running shoes.
Flip flops, small towel, swimsuit.
Toiletries.
