The day before the start of the tour is mandatory that we meet at the office located in Salento. The idea is also to arrange the following steps:
Signing of contract.
Equipment check.
Explanation of the tour.
Payment of 100% of the tour.
Acclimatization in Salento.
Resolution of doubts.
Day 1
6:40 a.m. We start the hike to Los Nevados National Park at 2,400 meters above sea level in the Cocora Valley.
We will cross Andean and high Andean forests until we reach the Páramo ecosystem and its magnificent frailejón
We will have a delicious lunch on the road
5:00 p.m. (approx): Shared accommodation in a traditional peasant farm at La Playa (3,650 meters above sea level).
Day 2
07:40 a.m. Start of the hike to the Paramillo del Quindío (9 km)
10:20 a.m. Arrival at the base camp of Paramillo del Quindío, and we get ready to climb to the top of this imposing mountain.
11:50 a.m. We arrive at the top and enjoy the beautiful view from 4,750 meters.
12:20 p.m. We start the descent to the second farm.
01:00 p.m. Lunch time
05:00 p.m. Arrival at La Argentina farm.
Day 3
7:00 a.m. Breakfast at the farm.
7:40 a.m. Begin trekking back to the Cocora Valley (11 Km).
12:30 p.m. Arrival at Cocora Valley.
1:00 p.m. Lunch in Salento and summary of the tour.
2:00 p.m. End of this spectacular experience.
Recommendations
An average physical condition is required for all trips.
Each participant is required to bring the minimum equipment required.
