Meeting an indigenous community was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Juan has a depth of knowledge and a passion for sharing his knowledge. He has the heart of a true teacher. On the mountain hike, we saw birds, butterflies, and unique plants that Juan was able to tell us about. He shared his years of experience with the indigenous people. Arriving in the village we met many children and were invited to the house of one of the elders. We also had an audience with the chief, which was extraordinary. So many wonderful photographic opportunities. You will have to bring money to buy the bags that the women make. It's a form of meditation for them. Each bag has meaningful symbols on it. I have over 100 photos that I will make into a book to share.
