What should you bring?

This region is quite sunny and warm during the day, and nights are cold, as the altitude is about 1,200 meters above sea level. There are also many mosquitoes. We recommend that you bring the following items with you

Enough underwear and socks for the three days of the excursion. Please note that you will be bathing at least twice in the waterfalls, and it is not advisable to carry wet clothes.

1 or 2 pairs of long pants for walking in the jungle.

Day 1

6:00 a.m. We will pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta or, if you are in Minca, we can pick you up at the main church in town.

After paying for the tour at our office, we will get in the car and head to Ciénaga.

On the way, we will stop at a very special place where we can have breakfast and watch them prepare a special coffee for us.

Before arriving at our destination, we will make a few stops to enjoy the viewpoints and spectacular views.

12:30 p.m. We will arrive at our accommodation, where, after settling in, we will enjoy a typical local lunch.

After lunch and a rest, we will have different activities in the afternoon.

Short hike through the hills of Ciénaga.

Mini-zoo and interaction with local animals.

Visit to waterfalls to swim and enjoy.

Beekeeping.

Fish farming.

In the evening, we will admire the sunset from a viewpoint and enjoy this moment with a hot drink.

6:30 p.m. Typical local dinner.

After dinner, we will listen to the stories and experiences of the local staff.

Day 2

• We will wake up very early to the sound of birds singing, the aroma of organic coffee, and a delicious local breakfast.

• When we are ready in the morning, we will board our vehicle for a 20-minute drive to the entrance of the archaeological site “El Congo - Ancient City.”

• To enter the archaeological site, we will take a very easy 20-minute walk along a narrow, cobbled path, original to the Tayrona community, to the terraces of the site.

• Once at the archaeological site, we will have time to listen to all the information about the place provided by the team of archaeologists who continue to work there.

• Time to enjoy the archaeological site. We will walk around the site and meditate in the tranquility.

• As we will spend a lot of time at the archaeological site, lunch will be a little later, upon our return to the hotel.

• 12:00 p.m. - Return along the same path, a 20-minute walk to the place where the car will be waiting to take us back to the hotel.

• 1:30 p.m. - Typical local lunch.

• After lunch, we will get in the car to begin our return to Santa Marta.

• Return to the city of Santa Marta between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
