What should you bring?

This area is quite sunny and hot during the day, and the nights are cold, as the altitude is about 1,200 meters above sea level. There are also many mosquitoes. We recommend that you bring the following items with you.

Enough underwear and socks for the three days of the excursion. Keep in mind that you will bathe in the waterfalls at least twice and that it is not a good idea to wear wet clothes again.

Day 1

6:00 AM: We pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta, or if you are in Minca, we can pick you up at the main church in town.

After making the payment for the tour in our office, we board the car to Cienaga.

On the way, we will make a stop at a very special place where we can enjoy breakfast and also observe how they prepare a special coffee.

Before arriving at our destination, we will make some stops to enjoy the viewpoints and the spectacular views.

12:30 We will arrive at our place, where, after settling in, we will enjoy a local lunch.

After enjoying lunch and resting, in the afternoon we will have different activities.

Short hike around the area.

Mini zoo and interaction with local animals.

Mini hike to the waterfalls.

In the afternoon, we can enjoy the sunset from a viewpoint and enjoy the moment with a hot beverage.

6:30 pm Local dinner.

After dinner, we can enjoy stories and experiences of the staff at the place.

Day 2

We will wake up very early with the sound of birds, the smell of organic coffee, and a delicious local breakfast.

When we are ready in the morning, we will board our vehicle for only 20 minutes to the entrance of the archaeological site "El Congo - Ciudad Antigua".

To enter the archaeological site, we have a very easy walk of about 20 minutes by a narrow, cobbled, and original road of the Tayrona community to the terraces of the site.

Once in the archaeological site, we will have time to listen to all the information from the archaeological team that is still working inside the site.

Time to enjoy the place. Walk around and also do meditation in the middle of the tranquility.

As we will spend a lot of time at the archaeological site, lunch will be a little later when we return to the hotel.

Noon. 20-minute walk to where the car will be waiting to take us back to the hotel.

1:30 pm - Typical local lunch.

After lunch, in the afternoon, we will enjoy activities such as.

Hike to the waterfall

6:30 pm - Traditional dinner with the local staff.

After dinner, we will share history with the guides and staff of the place.

Day 3

We will wake up early in the morning to the sound of birds, the smell of organic coffee, and a delicious local breakfast.

After breakfast, we have a half-hour hike to the top of the mountain to appreciate the mountains full of coffee plants and also the view of the region.

We can enjoy the pictures and the views.

Short hike for bird watching at the top of the mountain.

Hike back to the hotel for lunch.

Lunch is typical of the region.

After lunch, we will board the car to start our return to Santa Marta.

Return to the city of Santa Marta between 3:30-4:00 pm.
