Located in the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, 200 meters above sea level, our small Indigenous village is home to more than 50 families of the Wiwa community. This community has been consolidated to strengthen its identity, culture, and territory through ancestral education, thus preserving its traditions and roots.

Day 1
6:30 am transportation from your hotel in Riohacha or Palomino.
Two hours drive to the starting point of the hike Juan y Medio district of Riohacha.
Walk to the Zanañi community in approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the pace of the group.
10:00 am Welcome to the Zanañi village.
Our local indigenous guide will give us a tour of the village and tell us part of the history of the village and the community.
12:30 Local lunch with the community.
After lunch we will have some Activities with the men of the village, we will cut Fique leaves and then extract the maguey fiber (Fique).
We will learn the final process of the handicrafts with the Wiwa women and they will have the opportunity to interact and learn the cultural weaving of the Wiwa community.
Also, the men of the village will teach us the importance and process of the coca leaves in the four indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
Together with the people of the community, we will have the opportunity to plant a tree in the fertile lands of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.
6:00 PM Traditional dinner with some members of the community.
After dinner we will have the opportunity to meet the spiritual leader of the village known as MAMO, we will enjoy a bonfire to listen to his stories and ask him questions.
Day 2
6:00 am Traditional breakfast with members of the community.
After breakfast, we go to the river for a small traditional ceremony that the Wiwa community practices every day.
At the end of this small ceremony, we go for a swim and cool off in the river.
7:30 am 2-kilometer hike (approximately 1 hour) through nature to the Wiwa community of Bunkuamake.
In Bunkuamake we will meet the members of the community and visit a couple of places used by the community to exercise their motivational moments.
10:40 Am We will return to our Zanañi village to prepare for lunch.
After our lunch we will get our things ready to leave the village without first doing a small ceremony with members of the community to receive and leave with good energies provided by these ancestral people.
We will receive advice from the Mamo Mayor and also a small insurance as a souvenir and memory of this beautiful experience.
We will be back in the city between 2:30 and 3:00 in the afternoon.
