FULL-DAY TREK
14 kilometers walking.
7-8 hours of trekking per day.
A better alternative if you don't want to do the Lost City and want to trek through the tropical rainforest in Colombia.


Hike through dense and challenging jungle surrounding the majestic Buritaca River.
Take the narrow trail through the humid tropical forest of the lower part of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
Our highest point will be 700 meters above sea level and we will descend to the immense Buritaca River to enjoy its beautiful waterfalls and deep swimming holes.
A total of 13 kilometers to go. Sighting of toucans and other birds of the region. Ancient trees and virgin vegetation perfect to contemplate and appreciate.
A hike where the priority is to connect each step of our being with the pure intensity of nature.

Time to relax dand stretching your muscles before Getting in The car.

2 hours drive back to santa marta or minca.

Our Adventure Includes
Every single day You will hike through a dense humid forest. Even if the sun is not extremely warm, We will be sweating so much because of the humidity.
The secret to success during this adventure is taking a light backpack with Us.
Here You have some tips about what You will need up there.
Small /medium size backpack.
Light clothes to walk.
Long sleeves shirt, and long pants for the nights.
Comfortable shoes to walk (hiking boots / running shoes.
Flip flops, small towel, swimsuit.

Day 1
We will pick you up between 6:00 and 6:30 Am at your hotel in Santa Marta. Minca. Tayrona or Palomino.
1 hour - 40 minutes drive to the village. El mamey.
9:00 am breakfast in El Mamey.
After breakfast. 20 minutes motorbike ride from 150 meters above sea level to the starting point of the hike, 700 meters above sea level.
First walk. From The top of The hill (700 M.O.S.L) to MR PABLO'S WATERFALLS.
The first part of the hike is very quiet and is on the highest part of the mountain. Spectacular views and very Nice weather.
11:00 am arrival at Pablo's Waterfall.
Time to relax a little and enjoy the tranquility of nature. We can swim in the Waterfall and enjoy a tastefull Dish of fruits from The región.
12:00 Time to start The rest of The hike.


Second walk is going to be mostly on a narrow path through the tropical rainforest for 2:30 hours
5-8 minute climbs. Descents through rocky terrain. Crossing of waterfalls and river crossings until you reach the Ancestral waterfall.
14:20 arrival at Fredie's Camp for Lunch.
Time to enjoy a tradicional Lunch and rest a bit.
15:45 we start our third part of The hike for The last 2.5 kilometres of mountains.
1 hour and 20 minutes walk.
17:05 El Rio Camp. Last opportunity to jump to The River and enjoy this Paradise.
17:35 Ride by motorbike 15 minutes to el mamey.
