This incredible experience in Ciudad Perdida is carried out in groups of 4 to 7 people, so you can also meet and chat with other travelers along the way.

What should yo bring?
The excursion to the Lost City is demanding.

  • You will walk every day through dense, humid forest, sweating profusely. It is essential to carry a light backpack.

  • Small hiking backpack.

  • Lightweight sports clothing.

  • Long-sleeved clothing for the evening.

  • Comfortable footwear (hiking boots or sports shoes)

  • Sandals, light towel, and swimsuit.

  • Toiletries.

  • Mosquito repellent and sunscreen.

  • Hat or cap.

  • Cash (souvenirs, drinks, tips).

Recommendations
  • Get physically prepared before you leave: the hike is demanding and includes constant ups and downs.

  • Travel light: a light backpack will make the experience much more enjoyable.

  • Wear shoes you have already broken in to avoid blisters.

  • Protect yourself from the sun and insects (sunscreen, mosquito repellent, hat).

  • Bring long-sleeved clothing for the evenings and insect protection.

  • Avoid alcohol and smoking during the hike.

  • Bring cash.

Itinerary

Service title

Day 1

Pickup (7:30-8:00), trip from Santa Marta to El Mamey (3 hours).

Lunch, followed by a 4-5 hour hike to the Adán campsite.

Bath, talk about local history, and dinner.

Day 2

Hike through the indigenous reserve: Casa Adán – Mumake – Lorenzo (approximately 8 hours).

Challenging climbs, breaks, swimming in the river, and fruit at the summit

Overnight at Lorenzo camp, near the Lost City.

Day 3

Departure at 6:00 a.m. to the Lost City (stairs and visit ~4 hours)

Return to Lorenzo camp for lunch, then hike to Mumake (3 hours).

Bath, rest, and dinner.

Day 4

Return – 17 km / 7 hours.

Hike from Mumake to El Mamey, lunch, and return by car to Santa Marta (4:00–5:00 p.m.).
