2 Days & 1 Night

An adventure to reflect on and learn about Colombia's ancient cultures.

Day 1

  • 7:30 in the morning we pick you up at your hotel. Santa Marta, palomino or minca. We would recommend that you have breakfast before starting the experience.

  • 8:30 am Entrance to Teyku park.

  • Spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

  • 20 more minutes of walking to the Indigenous village.

  • 9:00 am we will be greeted by our indigenous guide from the indigenous community.

  • We will walk through the community meeting different members of the community.

  • We will learn how they make their houses. And how they cultivate their land.

  • We will have a workshop to make indigenous backpacks from natural materials.

  • We will look with community members for the different natural colors they use to dime the backpacks.

  • We will also learn how to make the local indigenous alcohol from fermented sugar cane.

  • Noon, Local lunch with the indigenous leaders.

  • After lunch, our vehicle will take us to the entrance of Tayrona Park.

  • 1:30 p.m. Start of walkthrough Tayrona Park.

  • 2:30 p.m. Stop at a secluded beach to swim in the Caribbean Sea and eat fruit and snacks.

  • 3:30 We start a new hike for an hour and a half to the famous beach of Cabo San Juan.

  • 5:00 PM. In Cabo San Juan Beach. It's time to climb to the viewpoint and enjoy the sunset from the beach.

  • It's time to get to know our area to rest.

  • Shower.

  • 6:30 - 700 PM dinner

Day 2

  • 6:30 a.m Traditional local breakfast in front of the beach.

  • 7:30 a.m Time to enjoy the waters of Cabo San Juan.

  • 9:00 am we can walk about 30 minutes to a second secluded and beautiful beach in Tayrona Park.

  • 10:00 am We get ready to hike the last two hours to the end of the park.

  • 12:30 We finish our hike. Our vehicle will take us to the park gate where we can have lunch at one of the local restaurants.

  • 1:30 - 2:00 pm We can board our vehicle that will take us to our next destination.

  • Return to Santa Marta at 5:00 pm.

The Tour Includes

  • Round-trip transportation from Santa Marta, Palomino, or Minca.

  • Lodging in beds in the Indigenous community the only night of the tour.

  • Lunch and dinner on the first day. Breakfast and lunch on the second day. Fruits and snacks during the hike.

  • Local indigenous guide inside the indigenous community.

  • Local bilingual guide that accompanies the two days of the tour.

  • Entrance fee and contribution to the Indigenous community.

  • Entrance fee and insurance inside the Tayrona Park.

What to Bring?

Every single day you will hike through a dense humid forest. Even if the sun is not extremely warm, we will be sweating so much because of the humidity.

The secret to success during this adventure is taking a light backpack with us.Here you have some tips about what you will need up there.

    • Small /medium size backpack.

    • Light clothes to walk.

    • Long sleeves shirt, and long pants for the nights.

    • Comfortable shoes to walk (hiking boots / running shoes.

    • Flip flops, small towel, swimsuit.

    • Toiletries.

    • Insect repellent, sunscreen.

    • A Hat.

    • Cash to buy souvenirs from the indigenous and the farmers.

    • Cash for alcohol or cold drinks at the camps.

    • Tips for the guides.
